Wedding Crew

We are honored to have the following as part of our ceremony.

Christina Gandert (Maid of Honor)

Since the days of walking her little sister to St. Gregory the Great elementary school, Christina has been Lisa’s unwavering protector and guiding light. Growing up in the 1980’s, music such as Culture Club and Duran Duran has been the soundtrack of their lives punctuated with spontaneous dance parties that never fail to lift spirits.

David Green (Bridesman)

David and Lisa forged a bond amid the chaos as neighbors and first-time homeowners. Through construction mishaps and the excitement of downtown living, David’s quick wit and adventurous spirit made every moment an unforgettable one.

Geoff Brooks (Crooner)

We are thrilled to have Geoff lend his musical talents to our celebration. We met Geoff through David, and when Lisa wanted to take dance lessons, Geoff stepped up to the plate without hesitation. Geoff’s patience and encouragement never wavered as Lisa clumsily attempted to master the art of movement.

Holly Pendell (Bridesmaid)

Lisa and Holly first crossed paths while working for U.S. Senator George Voinovich where a shared passion for politics ignited an enduring friendship. Smart, witty, and endlessly funny, Holly is not only a joy to be around, but also a pillar of strength in times of need.

Andy Conklin (Groomsman)

Mark and Andy first met in high school, and for a few short years after college, tried to dominate beer league softball as members of The Green Machine (then rebranded Young Guns). As life went down different paths, an enduring friendship was forged (along with Tom) despite not living in the same city. A shared sense of adventure from coast to coast provided legendary experiences (memories which immediately turn into relentless teasing). When together, its like no time has passed since the last visit.

John Scialabba (Groomsman)

Mark is very proud of his brother! John’s ingenuity is something Mark can’t begin to comprehend. His ability to take apart a perfectly good plane, put it back together, and fly it is impressive. As diverse as their interests are, Mark is grateful how close they are and they can always count on each other.

Tom Squeo (Best Man)

It all started with a simple statement from Tom (a.k.a. MVP) to Mark somewhere between Seattle and Vancouver: “we should hang out when we get back to Columbus.” All these years later, Mark is grateful they did! Traveling the country, seeing live music (“he’s in the band…he’s in the band!”), and beer league sports (“go home!”) have provided memories that can’t be traded for anything.
